Rocco rocks: The 10-year-old Rocco Ritchie started breakdancing at the Material Girl launch in New York

He might only be 10 years old but Rocco Ritchie is a confident young man and already proving to be quite the little entertainer.

His proud mother Madonna and sister Lourdes watched on as he showed off his breakdancing moves last night at the launch of their Material Girl clothing range.

Dressed in black acid wash jeans, trainers and a 3D skull T-shirt, he did handstands and moonwalked in front of a cheering London Fashion Week crowd.

Rocco’s routine was reminiscent of Cruz Beckham’s performance during his mother’s Spice Girl reunion show in 2008.

Cruz, who was just three at the time, broke into an impromptu dance while on stage in New York with Victoria Beckham, his brothers Romeo and Brooklyn and the rest of the Spice Girls and their children.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s son performed at Macy’s Herald Square in New York City last night, during the clothing range launch.

And as his 52-year-old mother admitted at the launch to borrowing clothes from 14-year-old Lourdes Leon Ciccone’s wardrobe.

The mother and daughter designers teamed up for a rare joint interview on the pink carpet – not Lourdes favourite colour she admitted.

The pair opened up about their different tastes, and stealing from each other’s no doubt enviable wardrobes.

The collection consists of clothes, footwear, handbags, jewellery and accessories.
And it's clear that the daughter of the pop icon is vying to win style plaudits of her own.

Lourdes looked cool in a black leather studded biker style jacket from the clothing range, plaid shirt - which her mother said she disliked - and artfully ripped tights.

While Madonna wore punky accessories along with a black LBD and non-ripped fishnets.

When asked if she ever borrows from her formerly trendsetting mother's wardrobe, Lourdes let out a huge 'OHMYGOD...Like...all the time! But she does the same thing to me now. But it's so annoying, like, like, because my feet skipped her shoe size, and it's so frustrating.'

While the idea is not inconceivable, as the singer keeps herself in enviable shape with her two-hour daily workouts.

But whether the clothes worn by her daughter are actually suitable for someone of her maturity is another matter.

On working together she admitted: 'Well you know I have a very strong point of view and so does she she has a good sense of style.

'I like to think that I do I think we compliment each other but we do disagree on a few things.

While Lourdes said: 'Yes there were definitely clashes but you know it all worked out in the end.

'I wouldn't have worn this flannel shirt thing but she looks good in it so what are you going to do. I'm a very proud mum tonight.'

And joining them was the model of the line - 17-year-old rock wild child Taylor Momsen.

Despite wearing an eye-catching slip of a dress and thigh-high boots, her star power was somewhat dimmed by the combined presence of Madonna and her stunning daughter.

Momsen was directed in a fashion shoot by Madonna and Lourdes earlier this year.

She said: ‘I’m psyched to be the face of Material Girl,' who is also star of television programme Gossip Girl and has released an album with her band The Pretty Reckless.

‘It’s awesome. For one, it’s Madonna so it’s gonna be cool and it’s really an awesome experience so far.

'She’s very down to earth for all her success so it was good to see that.’
The Material Girl brand debuts at Macy’s in New York. It will then be available in Macy’s stores across the U.S.

Meanwhile, a retired New York City firefighter yearning to meet Madonna was accused of scrawling messages of adoration on the pavement outside her apartment building and possessing a 7.5-inch ice pick.

Robert Linhart is charged with graffiti and criminal possession of an ice pick recovered from his car.

He is also charged with resisting arrest outside the building near Central Park.

The 59-year-old was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court. A judge set his bail at 20,000 US dollars in cash.

Defence lawyer Cheryl Bader told the Daily News there was 'no threatening conduct' and it is 'not a crime to adore Madonna', the singer of pop hits including Like a Virgin and Material Girl.

Police said Linhart was arrested on Tuesday.
